4 Excellences of ayat ul kursi

1. ayat ul kursi is mentioned in a Hadis that amongst all the verses of the glorious Quran, this verse [i.e. Ayat-ul-Kursi) is of immense excellence. (Ad-Dur-rul-Mansur, pp6 vol-2)


2. It is reported from Hazrat Sayyiduna Ubay bin Ka’b رضی اللہ عنہ that the Sultan of Madinah صلی علیہ وآلہ وسلم said, “O Abu Munzir! Of all of the verses of the Quran which you have memorized, do you know which one is most grand? 1 Then the Holy Prophet ‘ الله لا إله إلا هو الحي القيوم ,replied passed his blessed hand over my chest صلى الله تعالى عليه واله وسلم and said. ‘O Abu Munzir! Congratulations to you on your knowledge.” (Sahih Muslim, pp 405 Hadis 810)

3. In one of the narrations in Mustadrak, it is mentioned that there is one verse in Surah al-Baqarah which is the chief of all of the verses of the Holy Quran. Shaytan flees from the home in which this verse is recited, and the verse is Ayat-ul-Kursi. ( Almustadrak , pp 647, vol 2. Hadis 3080)


4. Amir-ul-Müminin Sayyiduna Ali رضی اللہ عنہ has stated, “I saying from the heard the Noble Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم Mimbar [pulpit] that whoever recites Ayat-al-Kursi after every Salah, there is nothing preventing him from entry to Paradise except death, and whoever recites this before going to sleep at night, Allah عزوجل will protect him, his house, and the neighbouring houses. (Shu’ab ul Iman , pp 458 , Vol 2 , Hadis 2395)

Five Blessings of ayat ul kursi

Dear Islamic brothers! Whoever recites Ayat-ul-Kursi after every Salah will receive the blessings as mentioned below.


1. He will enter Paradise after death-ان شاء اللہ عزوجل


2. He will remain secured from all the tricks of Shaytan and jinn. ان شاءاللہ عزوجل

3. If he is destitute then in a few days his destitution and poverty will be distanced from him.


4. Whoever recites Ayat-ul-Kursi and the two subsequent verses (up to خلدون) in the morning, in the evening, and when lying down on his bed, he will be protected from theft, drowning, and burning ان شاءاللہ عزوجل ۔


5. If a tablet inscribed with Ayat-ul-Kursi is hung at some high place in the house, then ان شاءاللہ عزوجل there will never be a shortage of food in that house, in fact there will be more blessings and an increase in sustenance, and thieves will never be able to enter into that home. اللّهُ لاَ إِلَـهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ لاَ تَأْخُذُهُ سِنَةٌ وَلاَ نَوْمٌ لَّهُ مَا فِي السَّمَوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الأَرْضِ مَن ذَا الَّذِي يَشْفَعُ عِنْدَهُ إِلاَّ بِإِذْنِهِ يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهم وَلاَ يُحِيطُونَ بِشَيْءٍ مِّنْ عِلْمِهِ إِلاَّ بِمَا شَاء وَسِعَ كُرْسِيُّهُ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ وَلاَ يَؤُودُهُ حِفْظُهُمَا وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيمُ

Dua [28.2] Ayatul Kursi – Surah Al Baqarah 2:255

Whoever reads Ayatul Kursi when he lies down to sleep will have a guardian from Allah remain with him and Satan will not be able to come near him until he rises in the morning.

اَللّٰهُ لَاۤ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ الۡحَـىُّ الۡقَيُّوۡمُ


Allah! There is none worthy of worship but He, the Ever Living, the One Who sustains and protects all that exists.


Allaahu laa ‘ilaaha ‘illaa Huwal-Hayyul-Qayyoom,


لَا تَاۡخُذُهٗ سِنَةٌ وَّلَا نَوۡمٌ


Neither slumber nor sleep overtakes Him.


laa ta’khuthuhu sinatun wa laa nawm,


لَهٗ مَا فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَمَا فِى الۡاَرۡضِ


To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth.


lahu maa fis-samaawaati wa maafil-‘ardh,


مَنۡ ذَا الَّذِىۡ يَشۡفَعُ عِنۡدَهٗۤ اِلَّا بِاِذۡنِهٖ


Who is he that can intercede with Him except with His Permission?


man thal-lathee yashfa’u ‘indahu ‘illaa bi’ithnih,


يَعۡلَمُ مَا بَيۡنَ اَيۡدِيۡهِمۡ وَمَا خَلۡفَهُمۡ


He knows what happens to them in this world, and what will happen to them in the Hereafter.


ya’lamu maa bayna ‘aydeehim wa maa khalfahum,


وَلَا يُحِيۡطُوۡنَ بِشَىۡءٍ مِّنۡ عِلۡمِهٖۤ اِلَّا بِمَا شَآءَ


And they will never compass anything of His Knowledge except that which He wills.


wa laa yuheetoona bishay’im-min ‘ilmihi ‘illaa bimaa shaa’a,


وَسِعَ كُرۡسِيُّهُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضَ


His Throne extends over the heavens and the earth,


wasi’a kursiyyuhus-samaawaati wal’ardh,


وَلَا يَـــُٔوۡدُهٗ حِفۡظُهُمَا


and He feels no fatigue in guarding and preserving them.


wa laa ya’ooduhu hifdhuhumaa,


وَهُوَ الۡعَلِىُّ الۡعَظِيۡمُ‏


And He is the Most High, the Most Great.


wa Huwal-‘Aliyyul- ‘Adheem.

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “The evil eye is real, and if anything were to overtake the divine decree (Al-Qadar) it would be the evil eye.” (Muslim)

𝑨’𝒖𝒛𝒖 𝒃𝒊𝒌𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒎𝒂𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒍-𝒍𝒂𝒂𝒉𝒊𝒕-𝒕𝒂𝒎𝒎𝒂𝒉 𝒎𝒊𝒏 𝒌𝒖𝒍𝒍𝒊 𝒔𝒉𝒂𝒊𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒏 𝒘𝒂 𝒉𝒂𝒂𝒎𝒎𝒂𝒉, 𝒘𝒂 𝒎𝒊𝒏 𝒌𝒖𝒍𝒍𝒊 𝒂𝒚𝒏𝒊𝒏 𝒍𝒂𝒎𝒎𝒂𝒉
